A SIMPLE PATH

Four steps to a
more confident start.

A little preparation makes the setup easier to follow. Keep your device and computer nearby, and give yourself a few uninterrupted minutes.

01

Begin at the source

Type trezor.io/start directly into your browser, or use the official link below. Check the address carefully before connecting a device or downloading anything. Search advertisements and lookalike domains can lead somewhere else.

02

Choose your device

Follow the setup path shown for your Trezor model. The official onboarding flow helps you install or open Trezor Suite, connect your wallet, and check that the device is recognized.

03

Install and verify

If prompted, install firmware only through the official software. Read each prompt on both your computer and hardware wallet; the device screen is an important part of confirming what is happening.

04

Create your backup

Your recovery wallet backup is the key to restoring access if your device is lost or damaged. Write it down privately, keep it offline, and follow the instructions for your model exactly.

✳

Setup details can differ by model and software version. Treat the official on-screen instructions as the source of truth, and never rush a security decision.

KEEP YOUR KEYS YOURS

Some things should
stay only with you.

Your recovery backup can restore access to your wallet. Anyone who gets it may be able to access your funds. Keep it secret, offline, and away from cameras, cloud drives, email, and messaging apps.

Trezor support will never need you to disclose your recovery seed. Ignore unsolicited messages asking you to share it, scan a QR code, or enter it on an unfamiliar site. If something feels unexpected, stop and verify through Trezor's official support resources.
